Shop payments
How shop payments work in Geenius MVP: the test mock, Stripe Connect for live shops, readiness, and why only a person switches a shop to live.
Test mode#
A new shop runs on the built-in mock payment and says so. A whole test order can go through, with no money.
Live: Stripe Connect#
A seller has an Express connected account. An owner or admin on a plan sets it up and Stripe hosts the onboarding. Once charges are enabled, checkout is a direct charge on the seller's account with the platform fee. Refunds, in full or in part, return the fee as Stripe does.
Readiness#
readiness lists what holds a shop back from going live, in the order to fix it. Legal texts are templates, not legal advice: set the seller's name, address and e-mail.
A person decides#
Only a person switches a shop to live. No agent marks an order paid.
